Removing The Right Side Engine Mount On A Fiat 500x 1.6/2.0 MJET





To remove the right side engine mount the air filter housing and fuel filter support needs to be removed. This 'How to' is based on the 1.6 model.

Remove the plastic engine cover.

Unclip the air flow meter from the air filter housing.

Unclip the cable harness to the air box.

Follow the air intake rigid hose towards the front bumper to a connecting bracket and undo the 10mm nut.

Disconnect the air filter housing from the rigid hose (there are x4 plastic push tabs holding the rigid hose)

This is where the rigid hose fits into the air filter housing.

Pull the yellow locking tab to the fuel filter outlet hose and squeeze the connector to release.

Lift up the yellow securing pin to the fuel sensor connector and slide the connector to your right.

Undo the x2 10mm bolts holding the fuel filter housing.

Slide back the blue locking tab to the fuel filter inlet hose and disconnect the hose.

Undo the 10mm nut to the fuel filter housing support bracket.

Undo the the x4 10mm undertray screws (x2 front, x2 rear)...

border='1'

...and the x4 Philips (x2 on either side).

Support the engine from underneath the sump.

Undo the x3 E18 bolts....

border='1'

....and the x3 E14 bolts. You can now remove the engine mount.

You need to swap over the rubber grommet on the engine mount bracket.
