Removing The Auxiliary Belt On A Fiat 500 0.9 Turbo (Twin air)





The service schedule for changing the auxiliary belt on a twin air according to Fiat is 72,000 miles.

Prise of the right side wheel hub cover with a plastic trim removal tool.

Undo the 17mm wheel bolts and remove the wheel.

Undo the x2 15mm bolts to the vertical metal brace.

There's a Phillips screw under the right bottom corner of the front bumper which secures the wheel arch liner.

Take out all the Phillips screws to the front section of the wheel arch liner as there is a screw behind it to the side cover. Undo the screws to side cover and remove.

Undo the x3 10mm bolts to the auxiliary protective cover and remove.

You will need a 7mm square tool to insert into the square recess of the auxiliary tensioner (turn clockwise) to release the tension on the belt so you can slide the belt off of the pulleys.

To take out the auxiliary belt pull it down between the back face of the tensioner and the engine.
