Replacing The Engine Oil And Filter On A Fiat 500 1.0 Hybrid

Undo the x10 10mm bolts to the undertray.

Just loosen the 13mm sump plug so that it's finger tight.

Place a suitable waste container underneath the sump and unscrew the sump plug leaving the oil to drain.

Loosen the oil filter using a 76mm x 12 flutes oil filter wrench and let it drain into the same waste container.
Once it stops leaking fully remove the filter.

Check the condition of the sump plug seal before you refit it, if it's hardened or cracked replace the whole sump plug with a new one.

On fitting the new oil filter smear clean oil over the seal.

Remove the oil filler cap.

Pour in 2.5 litres of Selenia ECO2 0W-20 engine oil.

Screw on the filler cap and briefly start the engine to circulate the oil.

Remove the filler cap again, wipe the dipstick and replace the cap fully on, remove the cap, check the oil level and top up if needed.
Check the oil filter for leaks, if there's no leaks bolt the undertray back on.
